Care Home Sensory Garden

Design Brief

The brief was to provide a design for a sensory garden for a care home in Aberdeen.  This needed to incorporate a circular path design to help residents navigate themselves easier around the garden with seating as rest stops.  There was to be a central pergola as a vertical feature, raised beds for growing vegetables some of which had to be wheelchair accessible, a wildflower meadow area and rose garden. Colourful and textural planting with year round interest was incorporated into the planting design.
