Design Brief
A garden rejuvenation project in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. The client’s property is a new build house on the outskirts of Inverurie. The South East facing back garden receives lots of sun throughout the day. We designed the borders to make them more coherent creating a more tranquil space. Firstly an L-shaped raised bed runs the length of the back garden. There are lots of additional plants in pots which could be added to the borders. Secondly a small decking area next to the house needed additional plants in pots. Finally there was a small shady border required an update with additional planting. The front garden is North West facing and receives some morning sun. There were gaps in the borders which needed to be filled by new plants.

In the back garden, we updated the large L shaped raised with additional new planting and using existing plants in pots. We filled the raised bed with evergreen shrubs and perennials in a colour palette of white, blue, purple and pink. We added additional shade loving plants to a small border in front of a fence. Gerbera Designs replanted some existing shrubs and small trees into containers and dressed the decking area with them. This area has a Japanese planting theme. In the front garden we added new plants in a red, green, yellow and orange colour theme.
