Inverurie Cottage Garden: Planting Design
Design Brief
To create a planting plan for a front garden near Inverurie which was laid to lawn. The design brief for this South West facing garden was for all year round colour and interest. The client had created two beds in this area – a circular one and rectangular one. We decided on different colour themes for each bed to add contrast. The circular bed was planted up with shrubs, perennials and bulbs in whites, purples and pinks with a weeping cherry as a focal point in the centre of the border. The rectangular border was planted in reds, oranges and yellows a red barked cornus as a feature shrub. Planting is hardy and low maintenance.
