Design Brief:
The property was a new build house with a rear garden laid to lawn. The clients wanted a curved contemporary garden design. They were keen to have a larger patio area for outdoor entertaining, a raised bed wrapping around the patio, additional seating and colourful contemporary planting with all year round interest. The garden is North West facing and in a exposed and windy situation.
The finished design is 2 conjoined circles of edged lawn which are edging for easy mowing. The circular design is reflected in the timber moon gate and half circle bench in Northern corner of the garden. An Urbis lily bowl in corten steel is a contemporary water feature and focal point in the centre of the back fence. Garden lighting is key in this garden and uplighters have been installed under the feature trees and Stone Globe Lights have been installed at strategic points in the garden. Integrated lighting has been installed between at the bottom of the raised bed so that the patio can be used in the evening. A feature trellis and decorative side gate will be installed in 2023 to complete the look.
