Coastal Garden near Banff
Design Brief
This North East facing garden has beautiful coastal views across the Moray coast but was inaccessible to one of our clients who is in a wheelchair. The clients wanted an accessible space with a large patio, a curved wall for shelter and beautiful coastal planting in a low maintenance gravel garden to sit out and relax in and also enter their family friends. We designed a large sandstone patio with a curved raised bed at the back of the garden cladded in reclaimed York Stone to tone in with the patio. The planting design incorporated coastal plants with year round interest which would tolerate the windy and salty conditions on this part of the North East Scotland coastline.
