What should you do to your garden if you are selling your property?

If you are thinking of selling your property, here are our top 10 tips for getting your garden in order:-

1. Spruce up your garden for your property sale

  • Remove old sheds, broken items and pots
  • Rake up leaves
  • Dispose of all rubbish and garden waste
  • Hide all toys, play frames and trampolines and personal items such as laundry
  • Put all utility items (refuse, recycling & compost bins) in one area

2. Get your lawn in shape for house sales

  • Mow your lawn regularly
  • Edge your lawn using a half moon cutter to give it a neat finish
  • In spring and autumn scarify your lawn with a wire headed rake
  • Use a fork to remove lawn compaction
  • Feed and weed it

 3. Plant some seasonal colour to draw the eye

  • Plant some eye catching colourful plants in pots or in your borders
  • Seasonal bedding plants offer a quick colourful solution
  • Evergreens are good for all year round interest

  • Tidy up your front garden to give a good first and last impression
  • To welcome viewers add some container plants to your front door space
